Wisconsin Voices
On the ground, grassroots organizations work hard to engage the people of Wisconsin in the decision-making processes that affect their lives. Behind those organizations is Wisconsin Voices. We provide crucial tools, resources and coordination that increase groups’ impact. We strengthen nonpartisan civic engagement work and advance democracy by strengthening grassroots partners.
Our Democracy 2020 is an unprecedented coalition of people and organizations working to strengthen Wisconsin’s democracy. The coalition is working on 5 pillars of democracy (Drawing Voting Maps, Voting Rights, People Over Money, and Re-enfranchisement, Fair Maps) with short term campaigns and visionary goals. Wisconsin Voices will also serve as a central convener and planner for Census 2020- working collaboratively to ensure a fair and full count of all Wisconsin people.
The African-American Roundtable exists to improve the quality of life for Wisconsin’s African-American community through civic engagement, education, economic development, access to quality and affordable healthcare and community justice by building long-term political capital through issue-based organizing. Wisconsin Voices works to help strengthen and grow the capacity of partners and coalitions in our network. We can serve as the backbone organization or simply a set of more objective eyes that supports and manages collective impact progress through strong facilitation and helping to identify a shared vision for change amongst staff in an organization or larger group. Engage Wisconsin is a vehicle for coordinating data driven statewide voter engagement and turn out in collaboration with our partners around strategy, tactics, shared metrics, and collective goals. We focus on Year Round Civic and Integrated Voter Engagement as a means of transforming our political landscape to ensure every voice is represented.
Wisconsin Voices team, in partnership with PF Data, developed an innovative civic engagement tool. The Wisconsin Voter App allows organizations to build lists in real time, capture photo ID assistance needs, and automate data entry, opt voters into follow up voting education, all while electronically registering every eligible voter in Wisconsin.
