Playspace Rebuild Butterfly Park

Metcalfe Park Community Bridges works with several community groups to rebuild Butterfly Park.

For 3 days several community groups came together to rebuild a neglected neighborhood park.

KABOOM an American non-profit that build playgrounds for children joined forces with Wisconsin Voices and several other groups.

Play space equity is a national concern for marginalized ethnic groups and communities. The playground, classroom, home or in the community, playing allows children and youth to explore their world, take risks, make mistakes and feel achievement. It leads to healthier and happier children and communities.

Community Bridges Starts Healing

The community came out for a special spiritual healing ceremony.

A singing bowls demonstration showed the need for mental health services in the community.

A meditation session was held using singing bowls.

G'Toya Brielle gave a talk and demonstration of the healing art of singing bowls.

Singing bowls produce a soothing tone when stroked with a special mallet.
